Trapezaria is a cute little restaurant on the broader area of Acropolis.


The sitting arrangements will remind you of your dining room, since that’s what “trapezaria” means, and you’ll get the revere guest treatment, enjoying a comforting environment and delicious Greek food in an upscale mode.

The menu is formed every month with respect to the seasonality of ingredients and the chef highly promotes local ingredients such as cheese from Sitia in Crete (xigalo, a short of spread) and Naxos graviera (gruyere), cold cuts from Corfu, T-bone steaks from Veria, mullets from Messolonghi etc.

The staff is amicable and helpful and bear in mind that this is a non-smoking restaurant, which is still hard to find in Athens, but for those who appreciate a few smokes after their dinner there’s a small lounge outside of its premises to accommodate smokers.
